Arabic Language

The Arabic language is one of the main pillars of Al-Arqam school that is taught at all levels of student’s educational journey starting with elementary school and up to high school.  Through this journey the student is taught four main skills: reading, writing, talking, and listening. To make this possible, the curriculum has been set up to help the student build upon what he/she has learned with the goal of become proficient with the skills.

In elementary and middle school, the curriculum follows the ACTFL standards and Al-Aqam’s standards titled scope and sequences. In high school, the Arabic language is taught according to the International Baccalaureate (IB) and is one of the High Level subjects that is required to obtain the IB diploma.
