Al-Arqam Islamic School & College Preparatory welcomes students from all backgrounds, race, gender, ethnicity, and religion. Students from Kindergarten through High School are accepted. We honor diversity and are proud of our multicultural learning community.
Please read the following step to complete your application
Step 1. Please fill out the interest form here
Upload all the following documents to the Google Application Form:
- Transcripts and report cards of the last two school years
- Standardized test results (examples would be: CAASPP, ELPAC, MAP, Terra Nova, etc - check with your school office to know which one)
- Birth certificate
- Complete and up-to-date immunization records
- Two Official Recommendation letters (required for applications for grades 6-10)

Note: Students who do not provide all the required documents will not be able to take the admission exam until those documents are provided
Step 2. Bring your student in for admission testing
Once you have filled out the interest form, you will receive an email from our administrative team inviting your child to take their admission exam. All information on dates/time and location will be in that email.
Step 3. Pay the $250 exam fee (non refundable)
Once you have received the invitation email to bring your child to the exam, you will also receive an email with the link to pay the non-refundable exam fees of $250 (proof of receipt required for admission exam).
The admission exam will cover Mathematics and Language Arts subjects. Please arrive on time and be aware that your student may need more time to complete their test.
Step 4. Expect an email from us regarding your admission status
Once your child has taken the admissions exam, you will receive an email from the school with your child's admission status.
Age Requirements for Pre-K through KG
- KG students must be 5 years old by September 1st
- TK students must be 4 years old September 1st and potty trained before admission
- Pre-K students must be 3 years old by September 1st and potty trained before admission
Special considerations
- 12 graders are accepted but may not be eligible for the IB Diploma program because the program requires two years of IB related coursework. Exceptions are if the student is entering with coursework from another IB school.
- 11 graders must have Arabic courses in their previous transcripts and they will be evaluated by the school through their coursework and admission results for whether they qualify for the 2-year IB Diploma program.
