Islamic Education
At Al-Arqam, Islamic Education is embodied in our Student Learning Goals. It is also offered as part of our curriculum from grades Pre-K to 12.
Al-Arqam Student Learning Goals are:
1- To Live Islam through submission to Allah; steer clear of haraam territory; know Islam's history; live Islam every day; use the Qur'an and Sunnah to help make decisions; take the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) as their role model.
2- Become Lifelong Learners by developing good study habits; dig for information and know how to use it; be intellectual & well-rounded in many areas; think critically; look at things from different perspectives; imbue strong work ethics; succeed in college & beyond; develop science, technology, engineering & math skills; love learning.
3-Effective Communicators who make dawa to others; are good listeners; read, write & speak beautiful, sophisticated English; communicate in Arabic, the language of the Qur'an.
4-Citizens of the World who respect others; are polite, confident, and have social skills; contribute to the Muslim, local, national & global communities.
5-Honor themselves physically & spiritually through physical fitness, steadfastness in prayer and fasting, modest behavior and dress, and khush'oo & ihsan.
