September 1st, 2021
Thank you for vising the Al-Arqam website, and welcome to the 2021-2022 school year. We are very excited to welcome our students to in-person learning after a long online and hybrid learning period. Al-Arqam staff and students are wearing masks throughout the school day in compliance with the CDC guidelines and the Department of Education-State of California. It is the goal of opening the school in a safe, engaging, and productive environment.
The work of Al-Arqam extends beyond the academic, social, emotional, and spiritual to accomplish the school mission of educating the whole child. This school year, the school will work on social-emotional learning due to the Pandemic and the extended period the students were home.
We are also excited to bring in some of the school's programs before the Pandemic, such as "Mad Science," "House Prefects," clubs, and more. At Al-Arqam, we provide the student with extracurricular activities to enrich their lives. Insha'Allah, next week, we will start the NWEA MAP testing for students in grades Kg-8 in Mathematics, English Reading, English Writing, Reading Fluency (younger grades), and Science.
I'm beyond thrilled to continue working with the Al-Arqam staff and the parent community for this upcoming school year. Al-Arqam Islamic School & College Preparatory is a community school that serves the Greater Sacramento region and beyond. We honor serving our community and graduating students who are great examples of Muslims and productive members of their society.
Please make sure to visit the school website at aisacp.org as it provides valuable information.
We are looking forward to an exciting and productive school year ahead of us, insha'Allah.
Jazakum Allahu Khairan,
Dr. Lula Abusalih, Ed.D
